Miller New Orleans

Miller

In the year 1853 Hermann Heinrich Müller [*16.6.1836] left Germany to live near his older brothers Carl Heinrich [*1832] and Hermann Friedrich Wilhelm [*1834] in New Orleans. It is said that he left from Bremerhaven 12.08.1853. The only ship sailing to New Orleans at this time was the Leontine under Captain G. Thormann with 187 passengers. In this passengerlist we can find 4 Millers, but the age and the profession seems not to be the right one.

For sure the names have been changed from Heinrich to maybe Henry Miller, Carl Heinrich to Carl Henry and Friedrich to maybe Fred.
All brothers have been born in Diepholz on the farm Lüdersbusch.
Their father was Carl Jacob Miller
Carl Heinrich returned to Diepholz and married in Diepholz Margarethe Wilhelmine Mathilde Wirker, they had two childeren in Diepholz, but maybe he returned again to New Orleans.

All three brothers did not die in Diepholz (knowledge 01/2010), more than probably they founded families in New Orleans. Any help in finding traces of these brothers would be fantastic.
